• Why do they bug me?

I buy a Garmin watch (years ago) that was crappy (never connected to GPS). After years and years, they finally removed my account.

Bought a Fitbit that crapped out after a year. They still beg me to upgrade.

I buy a 3-station Eero system. Amazon duns me about getting new Eero systems.

Just bought a Samsung S24 phone. They're already bugging me to upgrade!

This rant leaves out bike stores, soccer tournaments, trail runs, the IEEE, Linux Magazine, and more that keep dunning me year after year of inaction and even requesting to "unsubscribe".

And the endless "potential spam" calls, quite often from the 817 (Texass) area code.

No, I don't want to sell my house. No, I don't want a warranty for the Fiesta that I got rid of years ago. No, I don't want Medicare supplemental medical insurance. No, I'm not in trouble with the IRS, the government, ....

It sounds to me like you need a de-Googled phone.
