• Telgate -S examples

From Amessyroom@1:103/705 to All on Sat Aug 17 12:41:29 2024
I'm trying to use -S to pass a string and CRLF.

It doesn't seem to be sent. If I hit enter, and then type the string
    the connection works as expected.

How can I sent a "CRLF" , followed by a string and "CRLF".

I tried -S "\n" -S "string" but it doesn't seem to be working.

    I'll keep experimenting.

No, there's no "send an empty" string option currently.

Saw you response in fidonet echo , although I posted in dove-net so it seems these are gated?

I have tried various TG flags, and cannot get a return received by the remote site. The string is sent. I can hit return myself (after telgate returns) and the password is accepted.

If I use TG_RAW the cursor is at the beginning of the line, but I can hit return and it works.

If I use TG_PASSTHRU, TG_EXPANDLF, TG_LINEMODE. The cursor is position at the end of the string. I hit return and it works.

I confirmed, I've downloaded the latest telgate code.

Seems like the return and/or carriage-return/line feed is not being sent or being "eaten" by telgate or the receiving end, for unknown reasons.

Base on nelgin's post. It seems we are both connecting to server that is replying with SSH-Cryptlib response. Don't know if that makes a difference. The connection is specified as telnet not SSH per se.
