• Home of the Brave?

    Hello Everybody,

    The land of the free,
and the home of the brave?

    The 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
    What a day it was.
Old geezers gathering round for perhaps the last time
to reminesce of times gone by.
Politicians from around the world made speeches thanking
all who sacrificed themselves so we could live in freedom.
And then, when all was said and done, a true American
patriot took to her keyboard and posted a comment -

"Eighty years ago today, thousands of Americans fought to
protect democracy on the shores of Normandy. This November,
all we have to do is vote." ~Hillary Clinton, 6/6/2024

The land of the free, and the home of the brave?

Talk is cheap. Clinton derided the convicted felon, calling
him "Grifter Hitler" when he visited Normandy. Was that fair?
Well, politics ain't beanbag. And girls can play as well as
    boys.

But hey. At least President Joe Biden visited the American
cemetery in Normandy during his visit. And that is something
the other two have never done.

    For Life,
    Lee

Is an American president required to visit the American cemetery in Normandy? Does it come with the job? How about the 25 others?

Two of them are located in Belgium and President Obama visited the WW1 Flanders Field American Cemetery at Waregem. Does that count? Or does it have to be Normandy?

There's also a beautiful one here at Henri-Chapelle with about the same number of fallen, mainly during the Battle of the Bulge. Including several of the "Wereth 11" ... look up the "Wereth 11", you might even find it interesting.

And then click this link, 99.9% probably never heard of this:

When Donald Trump skipped visiting the cemetery Hillary Clinton
called him "Grifter Hitler" - which should tell you a whole lot.

Does it come with the job? How about the 25 others?

Everything comes with the job. Including White House interns.

Two of them are located in Belgium and President Obama visited the WW1 Flanders Field American Cemetery at Waregem. Does that count? Or does it have to be Normandy?

The beach is in Normandy. Where all the pretty girls are. Why else
do you think Germans went? Tney knew Hitler would have approved.

There's also a beautiful one here at Henri-Chapelle with about the same number of fallen, mainly during the Battle of the Bulge. Including several of the "Wereth 11" ... look up the "Wereth 11", you might even find it interesting.

It has to be on the beach. Otherwise, no president would want to go.

And then there is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Was the soldier a he? A she? A trans? No POTUS will ever tell ...
